Description

As a Senior Project Control Manager (m/f/d) for New Units, you will report directly to the Head of Jenbacher Equipment Controlling. You will oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure timely billing, accurate revenue recognition, and smooth month-end closing processes, as well as support the quarterly and annual planning cycles. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing overtime accounting for applicable contracts in compliance with IFRS 15.

This role is filled in Jenbach in Tyrol, Austria.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Jenbacher Equipment Controlling team, including order intake checks, billing, shipment, and revenue booking, as well as providing guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with project management and production teams to lead weekly finance calls, driving project execution and identifying risks and opportunities for the quarter and the year.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure all revenue and COGS bookings are accurate and that internal controls are in place and followed.
  • Support project management during quarterly and annual planning to ensure all operational drivers are accurately reflected in revenue forecasts.
  • Develop and implement processes to identify contracts requiring overtime versus point-in-time accounting.
  • Work with sales to establish a sustainable process for contract identification during negotiations.
  • Build manual processes to account for such contracts and partner with IT to develop automated, system-based solutions in the long term.
  • Work closely with operational leaders to ensure robust finance processes and controls are established, maintained, and followed across the company’s expanding production network.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • At least 10 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and IFRS 15
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience in working with large data sets
  • Experience with Oracle R12 or other ERP systems; Business Intelligence skills are an advantage
  • Flexible working style with a strong ability to meet deadlines
  • Proactive learner with a clear, analytical mindset and a strong problem-solving attitude
